The Turks deported this woman with her three daughters
and two sons after having killed the father. The caravan of deportation was
conducted over Biredjik to a village Bozander. On the road Elmast lost one of
her sons and two of her daughters. Arabs dragged them away to their tents.
Elmast knows the place where they are. Elmast herself and her son Armenag came
to a village near Djerablus, where a Kurd married her. Armenag became a
shepherd in the neighbourhood. After many years of slavery our agent found them
and sent them per motor-car on to our rescue-home in Aleppo.
Relatives were
found in Djerablus and we sent Elmast with her son Armenag there.
Left our care: September 10,
1927. Relatives, Djerablus.
