Mariam reached newly to us. We
are sorry to see that she suffers of tuberculose, the poor woman has gone
through a good deal. Is it that her health may be rendered?
She
was married shortly before the war, her husband was ravished and killed. When
the deportation started, she also was deported with her relatives. When the
caravan reached to Deir-el-Zor, an Arab took her to his tent and forced her to
marry. She had several children, when she fell ill, the Arab began to treat her
very ill, because he was a merciless man.
Once she left her children and
fled to Deir-el-Zor, from where by our agents she was sent to us.
