Garabed's father and elder brother were put in prison and afterwards killed. Garabed was deported with his mother two brothers and one sister.
Near Tshorroom a Turkish officer took his sister from the caravan and married her. Several hours later his two brothers were taken by Kourds to a village and he does not know of course, if they are alive or killed. Garabed arrived with his mother to Ourfa and a few days afterwards they were again deported to Aleppo.
In Aleppo he lost his mother and was taken to an Arab family from a village not far from here. He remained several years there and came out by himself.
Having no relatives here he came to us.
