Her father wa a soldier in the Turkish Army when the deportation started. Ovsanna was exiled with her mother to Rakka. After two months they were allowed to return to Biredjik because they were a soldier's family.
Two years after their return her mother became ill and died. Ovsanna was left all alone and so she was obliged to go to a Turkish house where she lived as a maid-servant.
When Armenians were leaving Turkey, she fled to the Armenian priest who sent her to Jirablous and from there to our organization.
Ovsanna has no relatives.
She was received in the Near East Relief orphanage Aleppo.
