Perouza
may have been 2 years old in the time of deportation.
She
does not remember neither her parents nor her native town.
She
but knows that she always has been with Arabs in Mardin.
The
Arabic children often called her "Giaur." One day she asked why and
they told her that she was an Armenian. From that day she always wanted to join
with her nation. She fled one evening to an Armenian family, who kept her for a
while.
Afterwards
our helper in Mardin sent her on to our home in Aleppo.
Found
her aunt in Aleppo and went to live with her.
Left our care: January 23, 1926. Relatives
