During the massacres of Urfa her father was killed. Ovsanna was deported with her step-mother to Harran from where an Arab took her to his tent. Ovsanna lived among the Arabs for seven years being a maid-servant.
When she heard that there are Armenians alive in Urfa she fled to her native town and from there she succeeded in coming to Aleppo.
As far as we know she has no relatives.
Ovsanna learned embroidery and became selfsupporting.
