Abraham also came on the road with his parents, three
brothers and two sisters. The caravan reached Hama, there his parents died. His
brothers and sister disappeared and he never heard about their fate. He himself
erred round in the caravan among the thousands of Armenian till one day he was taken
by a Beduin, who wandered to and fro with his tents and cattle. Abraham was a
little shepherd twelve years. Newly as he from some children understood that he
was an Armenian, a Christian, he did not want to stay longer among the Islams.
He fled and fortunately he met with an Armenian Chauffeur, who brought him to
our rescue-home in Aleppo.
Left our care: September 17,
