Mariam is born in a village near Malatia. She was
deported with her parents. Those were killed on the road. Mariam was taken by
the Turks and put into a Turkish orphanage in Malatia. Four years she stayed
there. After the war an Armenian brought her back to Darende. All the relatives
were killed and she had to earn her living. She started weaving. Four years ago
she married an Armenian. Newly he was put in prison and Mariam fled with many
other Armenians to Aleppo.
