Minas was deported with his parents and other village people to Marash. There the caravan of deportation was separated and sent to different villages. Minas' family was sent to Boumboudj and from there to Meskene. After a stay of several days they were sent to Hammam.

His mother became ill on the road and died in Hammam. The father was separated from the caravan and escorted to the Rakka region. From that time Minas had no news from him. It is probable that he was killed by the gendarms.

Minas being left alone, went to an Arab farmer and worked five years. Afterwards he went to Sooroudji and from there to Nizib and worked in different houses to earn his living.

However, he remembered his being an Armenian, he was tired of the Moslem world and smuggled himself into Syria. In Djirablous he met some Armenians who sent him to Aleppo.

As far as we know he has no relatives.
