In the beginning of the deportations her father was killed in his native town. Her mother became [ill] and died within one month.

            Farida lived with her grand-mother. Life was becoming more and more expensive during the war and the grand-mother was too old to support her. They went together to Der-el-Zor. There her grandmother died, some Armenians brought her to our agent who sent her to us.

            We found her relatives and she went to live with them.
