In
the beginning of the deportation his father was left behind in Urfa. Abraham
was exiled with his mother, 3 sisters and 1 brother in the direction of
Deir-el-Zor. On the road his mother and brother died, the rest remained only
ten days in the above mentioned town, and were sent forward.
Upon the banks of Khabour, the
caravan was attacked by Tcherkesses. During the attack he lost all his dears,
he himself was taken by an Arab to his village, named Tell-el-Bresh, where he
lived 11 years as a servant a sort of slave, in fact.
Once an Armenian motor-car
driver helped him to flee, and brought to us.
Abraham
found his brother in Beirut and went to live with him.
