Vardeni's father, mother, brother and several of their friends were killed by the Turks. She remembers seeing it. An Arab took her to his house. Later she came in the hands of Kurds, who had known her father. They treated her well, and she stayed with them until they wanted to marry her to a Kurd. Then she fled to Mardin and from there was sent to us.
