Serpouhi (the sister of No. 0954)
was taken by an Arab to his house in Biredjik. The Arab married her and she
lived three years with him. Her husband was a very fanatic man. In case of any
misfortune in his works he referred it to his wife, consequently he began to
treat her badly, he even intended to kill her but he had fear of
"Allah" (God). At last he put Serpouhi out of doors. Nearly six
months she lived here and there, serving in different houses. After this time
she was married to an Armenian, who had embraced Islam and in this way he was
living in Biredjik. She gained two children from her husband, but during the
last Kurdish events the man was killed and Serpouhi remained helpless with her
two children. She sent a letter to her sister No. 0954, who in her turn
informed us about the matter. We succeeded to transport the widow with her
children to Aleppo by paying the expenses of the journey.
