The family originally is from Diarbekir but had already
before the war emigrated to Mardin. Mariam was deported together with her
parents, but two hours from the city an Arab Abdul Resah from Mardin came and
brought her forcefully to his house. Two years later he married her. She was
told that her near relatives were all killed. Lately Mariam became ill. She had
been infected by Syphilis, and later Tubercolsis also broke out. The man then
sent her away and she came to us.
We had to place her in municipal hospital.
Left our care: March 2,
1928.
