Garabed was deported with his parents two sisters and two brothers to Der-el-Zor, where the father became ill and died. The caravan was sent on to Hasiche where all men were killed. The women and children walked some days, came to Chubese, where many of them were robbed and killed.
Garabed who was only a little boy fled into an Arab's tent where they received him and kept him 10 years. As he grew up, he mentioned his nation and relatives and decided to flee. One day he left the camels in the desert and fled to Ras-el-Ain. An Armenian recognized him and sent him to us.
Left our care: April 12, 1925. Relatives in Beirut.
