Khachadoor's father and brothers were killed in their native town. He with his mother were protected by a Kourdish friend who kept him in his house. Several months after the Armenian massacres his mother became ill and died.
After two years the Russian army occupied the region of Van and everybody from there fled to the interior of Anatolia. The Kourd took Khachadoor with him to Severek but there he became so poor that he could not support Khachadoor any longer. Hachadoor went to some Kourdish village and worked seven years as a shepherd.
In his master came with him to Aleppo in order to sell sheep. Khachadoor met some Armenians here who took him to the Armenian church and from there he was sent to us having no relatives.
Left our care: September 4, 1924. Selfsupporting.
