Zekia was exiled with her parents, two brothers and two
sisters. Not far from Mardin, a Kurd dragged her out of the caravan. She does
not know, what became of her parents. 13 years she was a slave by that Kurd.
Newly he wanted to sell her for 20 £ to another Kurd. Zekia fled and reached
Mardin. There she met with our helper, an Armenian priest, who sent her per
motor-car to our home in Aleppo.
Left our care: Year 1929.
Zekia is married in our colony to No. 0834.
