Sahag's father died in his native town, before the deportation. He and his mother were deported until Urfa. Sahag lost his mother then and went to live in a Turkish house. Some years afterwards he looked for his mother and he succeeded in finding her in Biredjik. Unfortunately his mother was unable to support him and so he went again to a Turkish house. He was accepted as a servant but very badly treated. Sahag fled to Urfa and was sent from there to Aleppo.

            His mother's two brothers are in America.

Sahag went to live with his relatives in Beirut.
