Sema was deported with her parents and brothers until Killis. All her relatives became ill and died there. She could endure her illness and after her recovery she lived in a Turkish house and remained 3 years there.

            Her master's family came to Aleppo and Sema was taken with them. She lived four years in their house being the servant of the family.

            Sema desired to flee but she could not succeed, she was not allowed to leave the house alone. An Armenian woman who was asking for work saw her and promised her to help her if she wanted to flee. One day her mistress went to the market and Sema was alone at home. The woman came and helped her to flee and brought her directly to our Reception house.

As far as we know she has no relatives.

Has been adopted in an Armenian family in Alexandrette.
