During the deportation her father was killed. When her mother was going to be exiled she gave her to a known Turk hoping to safe her life in this way. Anna lived seven years in this Turkish family doing the work of a maid-servant.
An Armenian woman saw her and told her about the orphanages in Aleppo, she also promised her to take her there if she wanted to come with her. Anna asked her mistress to allow her to go. The latter accepted and she started her journey the next day early in the morning. She reached safely this city on March 26.
As far as we know she has no relatives.
Found a place as a servant in the city.
