Harutiun
was deported to Ras-el-Ain with his parents. There they encamped 3 months. His
mother became ill and died.
Harutiun was also ill, so when
the caravan started his father could not take him with but left him in the
city. He recovered and went into an Arab tent. There he remained 10 long years
as a shepherd.
The Arabs promised giving him
wages, but when he asked they got angry and beat him. So he went away and came
to Deir-el-Zor where our agent found him and sent him further on to us.
Haroutioun has a sister and an
older brother in Rumania. They went there before the deportation.
Found
relatives in Alexandrette and went to live with them.
Left
our care: December 25, 1925. Relatives, Alexandrette.
