In the beginning of the
deportation his father fled to Russia. The rest of the family, Nerses, his
mother and one brother were exiled to the region of Biredjik.
The
gendarmes pushed the caravan forwards without leaving them breath on the way.
His mother had made all possible efforts to continue the journey with her children,
but her knees gave way and she fell exhausted on the road.
Near
Biredjik two Kürds guarded for the possession of his sister, but the guard
ended in his sister's death. As far Nerses, he was taken to the house of a Kürd
named Ardi Bey, to whom he served 12 years as a shepherd in utter misery,
wondering from dawn till evening upon the thorny hills almost naked and
barefooted.
One
day our Arabpounar agent was informed and succeeded in taking him out of his
misfortune.
Nerses went to our colony May 3, 1927.
He has relatives in Aleppo and in Armenia.
Left our
care: February 1, 1930. Relatives.
Aleppo.
1930 Narses
left the village and went to stay with his relatives in Aleppo. He gets money
from America.
