His father died when he was a little boy. During the deportations he was exiled with his mother and aunt to a distance of three hours when a Turk came and took him to his house where he was living seven years. The Turk had married two Armenian girls and so Mardiros was quite comfortable there because they took good care of him.
Both of the girls fled from the Turk and came to Aleppo. Mardiros live one year longer there and the Turk died so he had an opportunity to return to his nation. He fled and came also to Aleppo. Having no relatives he came to our Reception house.
Learned a trade and became selfsupporting.
