In the beginning of the
Armenian massacres her father went on business to Broussa but he never returned
again. She and her mother were deported and reached Aleppo. After a few days'
rest they were sent further on. On the road she was separated from her mother
and was brought to an Arab's tent. She was living with him for eleven years
being considered his child. When Aghavni grew up, her master wanted to marry
her to an Arab, but she did not agree to the proposal. She looked out for a
chance to flee and succeeded by the aid of our agent, who sent her per auto to
us.
Left
our care: December 1, 1926. Married in Aleppo.
