When his mother left him, Mardiros
was so small that he cannot recollect her name. He told us that he lived in a
Kurdish family near Ras-el-Ain. His father's name was Misak and his birth-place
was Morki! (It ought to be "Nor kugh" near Broussa). During those
eleven years he was always punished severely and the suffering which he had
undergone was extreme. One day he planned to escape and he succeeded in doing
so. On reaching Ras-el-Ain he met with our agent who sent him per auto to us.
