Her father was a soldier in the
Turkish army. On the road to exile her brother was separated from them. There
is no more news about him. Flor with her mother and two sisters were sent as
far as Nisibin, where some Kurds divided the family among themselves. She
herself was brought to the house of Sheikh Hamid in Mardin and remained eleven
years with him. First as his daughter, then as his wife… Though, many years
among the Kurds but she had not lost her modesty and religion. One day she took
her chance to flee to the priest in Mardin, who found the way to send her to
us.
