Mariam's husband went to
America before the war. She herself was deported with her parents and 2
children. The caravan reached Osmania. There her father was killed. They went
further on and came near Deir-el-Zor. Mariam's mother and little ones became
ill and died.
One
day Mariam was taken by an Arab and she was forced to marry him. After 11 years
she succeeded in fleeing to us.

very much. Mariam's husband is also in America 4 years ago he came to Syria
trying to find his wife, yet in vain, and thinking her dead he married again.
It makes Mariam's heart ache.
