Her
father was thrown into prison in the beginning of the war and disappeared. She
herself, her mother, one sister and thousands of Armenians were exiled in the
direction of Deir-el-Zor. Arriving there her mother gave her to a Turk in order
to save her life. A short time afterwards
she was forced to marry his son. Twelve years she was obliged to live with that
man, and she had four children. Newly her brother in law came from Baghdad in
order to try rescuing her and bringing her to her mother to Mosul. He did not
succeed but afterwards our agent by the help of our government was able to send
her to us.
We have sent Verdjin to Baghdad to her mother.
Left our care: July 7, 1927. Relatives, Baghdad.
