Eugenie was deported with her parents to Aleppo. There were passing every bigtown of Anatolia, the Turks' purpose being nothing else than to make suffering the Armenian deported people. From Aleppo she was sent to Der-el-Zor still in company with her parents. In Der-el-Zor her father became ill and died. Her mother was married to an Arab and she herself was taken to an Arab family. The Arabs wanted to marry her to one of their people but she fled to another tribe. Two years later Gulbeng (No: 607) came also to this tribe and so they married each other.
Both fled to Der-el-Zor from where our agent sent them to our Reception-house.
