Nishan's father was a soldier in the
Turkish army, and he died there. He was deported with his mother to Urfa where
he was separated from her and was brought to a Kurd's house where they
considerated him as their child. One year after Nishan heard that an Armenian
woman was living with a Turk in the same town. He went to see her, fortunately
she was his mother but he was not allowed to live with her, so he lived with
his mother being permitted by and by to see his mother. One day she being
informed about our rescue-home advised her son to flee to Aleppo and she helped
him financially. Nishan reached Aleppo. His mother had promised him to follow
him, now the boy is waiting for her.
