She does not remember much from her earliest childhood.
In the beginning of the deportations she may have been five years old and was
taken by a Turk in Adiaman. In his house she grew up. Four years ago she was
married to an Armenian, who was a servant by another Turk. Eight months ago he
fled, because the Turks wanted to convert him to Islam. He reached Damascus.
Sara also one day succeeded in coming with some muleteers and safely reached
our home in Aleppo. May 1929 we sent Sarah to her husband in Damascus.
