Manoug
was exiled with his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The caravan came near
Deir-el-Zor. There the father became ill and died. The caravan was sent further
on. Some days after Arabs attacked the people and dragged many of them away
with them.
Manoug also was brought to a
village. He had to work very hard but was treated rather well.
He never forgot that he was a
Christian and was always longing to come back to his nation.
One day he left the sheep in
the desert and fled to Hassitshe from where he was sent on to us.
Left
our care: September 12, 1925. Relatives.
