Hagop was exiled with his parents, three brothers and one
sister. The caravan reached Sebka. There the father and one brother were
hanged. The sister died of typhus in Bab. The mother who was ill, could not
follow the caravan and was killed by the gendarms. The caravan reached the
river of Khabur, there one brother was killed and the other - the last -
dragged away by an Arab. Hagop erred alone round among the thousands of
Armenians. One day an Arab woman took him. Later she sold him to an Arab. He
was a shepherd and was working without any recompense.
After many years he fled to Baghdad. One day he heard
that his brother was living in Aleppo. We paid the expenses for the journey. He
arrived here and the two brothers were happy to meet again.
Left our care: June 13,
1929. Brother in Aleppo.
