Her husband Giragos Barrutdjian was killed early in 1915, later she was deported with her whole family. One day after the father was killed, in Severek the mother died and so did Tuma's little children. A younger sister was carried off by the Kurds.

Tuma herself, her daughter Victoria, her sister Baidzar and her brother Mygrditsh came as far as Rakka, where the Arabs married Tuma and Baidzar and for their sake kept Victoria and Mygrditsh.

In this spring they fled to the French troops, the Arabs tried in every way to get them back, but finally they came with a convoy to Aleppo, where we took them in.

Tuma and Baidzar set up a home. They are living on their sewing.

Left our care: September 1922, Selfsupporting, sewing.
