Sookias' father died before the deportation. He was deported with his mother and sisters to Samsat, where he lost all of them. A Kourd took him to his house but Sooskias fled after the third month.
He went walking at night to Zeg and entered a Kourdish house as a servant. He was well treated but not paid. When the Turkish government heard about him, they sent for him because he was of the military service age. Sookias knew that his master could not safe him, so he fled with some other boys to Aleppo.
As far as we know he has no relatives.
Sookias left our care on his own account.
He has found work and is doing very well.
Left our care: May 1, 1923. Selfsupporting. |
