Hovhannes does not remember much from his earliest
childhood. Three years old he was deported with his parents. He grew up in a
village near Urfa. His owner a Turk, told him, that he had found him on the
road. He was treated rather well. Yet, when he was 17 years old and the
Mohammedans demanded that he had to be a Muslim he fled and reached Urfa. From
there he came to us.
Left our care: February 3,
1930. Relatives aunt Aleppo.
