Her father died before the deportation. Marin was deported with her mother, brother and sister until Mardin where she lost all of them. She was taken to a Turkish house where she lived seven years as a maid servant.
Marin desired very much to flee to the orphanage in Mardin but she was afraid of doing so because her master was the chief of this city.
Armenians were going to Aleppo almost every night of course without permission. Marin fled at night and joined such a party and finally reached this city.
Marin learned embroidery and became selfsupporting.
Later she was engaged, is to go to America.
