Relatives

The whole family was deported to Aleppo. His mother became ill and died in this city. The survivors were sent on to Ras-el-Ain. His father was too old and could not endure this long and painful walk, he became ill and could not go further. Benjamin never heard what became of his father.

Benjamin and his brothers and sisters were sent on to Nisibin. He was taken to a Kourdish house but his brothers and sisters were killed there. Benjamin lived 8 years with the Kourd doing farm work. He fled several times but he could not succeed. He simply was a slave. His master was put in prison by two French policemen, Benjamin found an opportunity and fled to the Railway Station and from there to Aleppo.

As far as we could understand he has no relatives.

We located his uncle in Beirut and sent Benjamin to him.

Left our care: June 23, 1923. Relatives.
