He was deported with his
parents and hundreds of Armenian Bitlis people. On the way the father was taken
apart with other Armenian men and he was shot in front of the women and
children. His mother died a few days after. Left alone he was taken by a Kurd
to a village named Aveyni. Garabed became the shepherd of the Kurd. Lately, an
Armenian passed there and told him that there are still Armenians alive in
Syria and that there was a reception house in Aleppo open to those who want to
join their nation and their people. Garabed fled and came immediately to us.
