His
father was a soldier in the Turkish army, when he was deported with his mother.
The caravan reached Meskene. There his mother became ill and died.
An Arab took him to his house
and kept him 2 years as his servant, later the Arab died and Tavit had to look
for another work. He went to a Kourdish village and remained there 8 yers as a
farmer. The Kourds did not pay anything to him and so he fled to Djirablous.
Our agent there saw him and
took care of him, till he was able to send him to our rescue-home in Aleppo.
Left
our care November 30, 1926. Selfsupp.
