In the beginning of the Armenian massacre Turks killed his father. He and his mother, brother and sister were deported to Hesiche. In Hesiche he and his brother were separated from the family and both were taken to different Arab houses. The rest of the family was sent further on and Avedis remained eight years among the Arabs, all the time as a shepherd.
When he heard that there are many Armenians in Aleppo, he wanted to return to his nation. He asked his master to let him go. The latter permitted him and Avedis came to Aleppo. We received him in our house on August 4, 1923.
As far we know he has no relatives.
Sister was found in Bagdad, he went to live with her.
Left our care: May 1924, Relatives.
