Khatoun was 13 years old in the time of deportation year
1915. Her father was thrown in prison, tortured and died under the hand of his
tormentors. Her mother was exiled with five children. The caravan was driven on
the way Diarbekir-Mardin. Her youngest child soon died, and one day, as the
Kurds attacked the caravan, Khattoun's mother and three brothers were killed
before her eyes. She herself was wounded and by a Kurd brought to his house.
That Kurd married her and she gave the birth to a boy Hagop No.1859. Her
husband was newly killed and she fled to Syria.
