Khatchadour's
father went to America before the war. He himself, his mother and 2 brothers
were sent on to Ras-el-Ain. There the caravan stayed 3 months. His mother and
one brother got ill and died.
Khatchadour was one day
dragged away by an Arab by whom he lived 9 years. He then fled to a Beduin with
whom he went away and came near Hassitshe. He one day went into the town, in
the market he met with an Armenian pastor who is our agent. He who immediately
saw that Khatchadour was an Armenian, asked the boy to go with him to his home.
There he told him about our rescue-home. Khatchadour very much wanted going
there and the agent sent him with an auto to Aleppo.
