Aghavni
was married very young with an Armenian. A year after the war broke out, and he
was killed. A Turk brought Aghavni to his house. Some time after she was exiled
with many other Armenians, and they were driven towards Malatia. There a Kourd
took Aghavni out of the caravan and she was forced to live with him 2 years,
then he sold her to an Arab, wbo brought her to a village near Rakka.
There she stayed 8 years and
had 2 children.
One day some muleteers came to
the village. Those told her about our rescue-home in Aleppo and promised her to
take her with them. In the night she fled and reached us safely.
