             In the beginning of the deportations his father was killed. He was deported with his mother to Khoubus where a Kourd took him to his house. Hovhannes lived 3 years there and fled afterwards to Harpoot where he was taken to the Turkish orphanage. He heard that his aunt was alive in Harpoot. His aunt was in a Turkish house and Hovhannes fled to her.

            When Armenians left Harpoot, they both joined a party and came to Aleppo.

 

As far as we know he has no relatives.

Hovhannes was received in the orphanage of the N.E.R..
