            Her father died before the great war. Garene came on the road with her mother, a little brother and thousands of Armenians. The caravan reached Idlib. Garene who could not walk more, was lying at the roadside. A Kurd came and carried her away to his house. Some years later he married her, and for two years she was forced to live with that man. Then she met with an Armenian, who bought her for two £. and they went to Aleppo were they now are living.
