Harutiun was exiled with his parents
and one sister to the region of Ras-el-Ain, where his father was killed and his
mother died of grief and anger. He with his sister were taken to the village
Tahlike. There a Tchetchen married his sister. She is living still there.
Harutiun fled from there to the village Mezire-Kantar and lived in the house of
Sofon Ali working as a shepherd. The man belonged to a wandering tribe, so one
day the tribe camped near Urfa. There Harutiun took his chance to flee and
joining some muleteers he reached Hassitshe whence by our agent to us.
