Remained at the time of the deportations with a Turk of his village, who treated him well. In all these years he has been his shepherd. Now however he wanted to come back to the Armenians. He left the Turk and made his way to Aleppo.
He has an uncle in Constantinople, Dentist Digran Effendi Yeghigian, and uncles in America, too, although he does not know their names.
Toros went with a transport of the American oprhans to Beirut from where he hoped to be able to go on to Constantinople to find his uncle. He left on his own account, and we do not know, whether he succeeded or not.
