Vartanoosh was a baby when her parents died. After her parents death she was received in the American orphanage of Harpoot. Where she was grown up her elder brother took her to his house and they lived together until the deportation started. In the beginning of the deportation they were both deported to Malatia. Her brother was killed there.
Vartanoosh was taken to a Turkish house in Cileg where she lived all the time as a maid-servant. An Armenian young man came on business to their village. He saw Vartanoosh and advised her to flee. She fled the same day to Malatia and came from there with a caravan to Aleppo.
Vartanoush found a place as a servant.
Left our care: June 1, 1923. Selfsupporting, servant.
