Garabed was a little child when his father died. His mother married again and left her children to her sister. They were supported by her until the beginning of the war.
In the beginning of the war his sister's husband was taken to the Turkish army and so the woman could not support them being too poor. Garabed had to work in order to support himself and his little brother. Later both were taken to Turkish houses where they worked for their bread. After one year his brother became ill and died. Garabed worked eight years as a farmer and finally fled when Armenian caravans were emigrating to Syrian territory.
Found his relatives and went to live with them.
Left our care: November 10, 1924. Relatives.
